As Israelites, the HOLY BIBLE is our heritage and in it we are commanded by our GOD (POWER) whose name is YHWH (Timestamp 3:25-3:28) who we also call THE MOST HIGH or THE HIGHEST creator of heaven and earth and everything in them.

Genesis 1:1“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Isaiah 45:18 “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”

We are commanded to follow all his ways which are right and RIGHTEOUS and our RIGHTEOUSNESS and WISDOM

Psalms 33:4 “For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.”

Psalms 119:142 “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.”

Deuteronomy 4:5-6; 5“Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. 6Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

Now that you see why HE commanded us to KEEP his LAWS, STATUTES AND COMMANDMENTS as we continue you can better understand why we are closed from Saturday Dawn to Sunday Dawn. The following scriptures will further explain in detail for a deeper understanding.

Exodus 31:16-17; 16“Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.”

Now that you see this is a sign to the world between the Children of Israel and YHWH (and anyone that cleaves to the Covenant) that we must KEEP this day HOLY and PURE let's move on to more scriptures.

A new day constituted in scripture begins at dawn (morning) or the first sign of light. As we read the 1st chapter of Genesis we see it clearly.

[Gen 1:4-5 KJV] 4 And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

[Gen 1:14-16 KJV] 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.

And in the Words of the Messiah he states,

[Jhn 11:9 KJV] 9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

THE MOST HIGH created light to be day, and darkness to be night, HE never created them to be one together. Nowhere in scripture will you find "Day" starting in evening, but only in the morning (dawn), Genesis in itself sheds light on this.

Evening is just another part of the "Day" as we read in Mark,

[Mar 4:35 KJV] 35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

Now that you understand when a day begins let's move on.

Genesis 2:2-3; 2“And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

We see our POWER, YHWH resting from all his work that he has done in Genesis 2

Exodus 20:8-11; 8“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9“Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

As you can see YHWH is speaking to the Children of Israel (and anyone who cleaves to the Covenant) to REMEMBER and KEEP the Sabbath day HOLY.

We are to REST, DO NO WORK, we are to take a break from all we have done throughout the week on the Sabbath (Shabbat) day.

Below is a calendar that shows which is the 7th day of the week.

Now that you understand when and what is the Sabbath (Shabbat) day. Let's get into the guidelines on what else we are to do and are forbidden to do on the Sabbath (Shabbat).

Exodus 35:2-3; 2“Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. 3Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.”

We are not to cook/kindle any fire on the sabbath day!

Exodus 16:23 “And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.”

YHWH further instructs us if we want to have cooked food the next day to prepare it the day before, for us to have the food to eat during the Sabbath (Shabbat) day. This is to prevent us from cooking/kindling any fire on the day of REST.

Nehemiah 10:31 “And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.”

We are not to buy or sell on the Sabbath (Shabbat) day.

Now that you have the understanding of the Sabbath (Shabbat) day. You are now fully aware why the Israelite Market is shut down on that day.
